Wind Energy Joomla Template R2
OOps – we did it again. There is the ‘new’ Wind Energy Website Template R2 for Joomla 1.5 / 1.6 and Joomla 1.7 for free download.
Some kid said the old wind energy template would not look like made with 3ds max. So I decided to do a small rebuild and render the scene with Vray 1.5 this time. Silly uh?
New this time – ok, the optics in the background is photorealistic enough I think. The horizon was on a local field nearby our house – the windmills are 3d modells. If you notice in the preview – the headline is in a graphical font. I built a small script which exchanges the ‘Sitetitle’ variable into single images from the alphabet – I made this font with 3ds max too, and hope you like the smooth motion – for 30 degrees I took 60 frames which I inserted in a gif animation. I like flash, but I hate it when it is not functioning 100% – thats why I always unse GIF instead of flash. Not one of my animated templates on this site use flash.
The parameters for sitetitle, sunbtitle and footer can be easily changed in the joomla template backend werden. If you like it – please give me a ‘like’ at the bottom of this article – thank you.

Update 24.08.2011: Updated Wind Energy Website Template R2 for Joomla 1.7 – just assign Mainmenu to ‘left’ and the topmenu to Position ‘User 3′

Hi and thanks for your kind words :) Hmmm – bust is there a common problem? It´s just when you follow in the backend to the template styles, where you can enter the module parameters. Take a look to this screenshot: http://www.cybergrafie.de/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/template-parameter.gif

PS: Sorry, I have only a german version installed … but if the problem remains, drop me a mail and I install a english version for a propper description.
OOps – you are right. In Joomla 1.5 is no parameter field visible. Sorry for that, I do not use 1.5 anymore, but have a small workaround if you use 1.5 and have a problem with the title. Just ‘edit’ the source index.php in joomlas template section and seek for the grey marked parts in this image:
replace everything in the ‘…’ with your Headline-Text and it will render the images fine.
Also seek for ‘< ?php echo $this->params->get(‘sitedescription’); ?>’ and replace it with ‘my subtitle text’ for the second line. When I am back from holidays I´ll take a closer look!

das ist ein wirklich wundervolles Template…
…allerdings werden wir es nicht nutzen können, da sich die Windräder in die falsche Richtung drehen :-)
Betrachtet man die Rotorblätter, so könnte es fast klappen, allerdings wäre eine Drehung der Rotorblätter UND der Drehrichtung sehr geeignet das Template einzusetzen.
Ist so etwas machbar?

Gerade bestätigt mir ein Freund von Enercon, dass sich hier alles Richtigrum dreht – wieso sollte es sich falschrum drehen – mal genau auf die Blätter sehen,

The template is super. I also have the Holiday link mid below. I will try to change it so that you get the credit. Joomla talks about a “right” position, but I find out after a hard time that is isn’t there. No problem.
I have a question: is it possible to put articles in 2 koloms (neben einander, und nicht unter einander)in the Template.

ein sehr schönes Template hast du da gezaubert, ich hab nur das Problem, dass ich keine Module an der rechten Seite platzieren kann, übersehe ich eine Einstellung, oder wie kann das sein?

es tut mir leid – sicher hast Du es inzwischen selbst rausgefunden – rechts gab es im Template keinen Platzhalter für Container.

Ich habe aber ein Problem, ich kriege das Mainmenu nicht auf die linke Seite.
Wenn ich die Modulposition auf left setze, passiert leider nichts

Dein Template ist wirklich gut gelungen. Tolle Optik.
Habe, wie gerade festgestellt andere vor mir, das Problem, dass ich rechts keine Module positionieren kann und Artikel nicht in Spalten darstellen kann.
Wollte es erst gar nicht wahr haben, weil die Template-Vorschau im Backend ja genauso aussieht.
Hast Du die Absicht, da noch nachzubessern. Meine Programmierkentnisse reichen leider nicht, um dort selbst Hand anzulegen.
Wenn nicht, hättest Du ein Problem, wenn ich Deine Hintergrundgrafik in ein anderes Template mitnehme? Deinen HollidayHome24-Link würde ich als Gegenleistung natürlich auch mitnehmen.
